| The annual Age and Disabilities Odyssey, which had been planned for August 2010, has been postponed until June 2011. The conference, sponsored by DHS and the Minnesota Board on Aging. is aimed at professionals who administer and operate programs to help seniors and people with disabilities. | County performance in context is an interactive database that allows citizens to compare Minnesota counties on 11 measures related to the well-being of children and families, including child protection, child support and various economic indicators. Users can also obtain county profiles on these measures. This public information has been available in other formats but is organized this way to give citizens more comprehensive views of state and county program outcomes. |
| The stimulus funding page on the DHS Web site summarizes the more than $2 billion expected to be provided for Minnesota human services programs under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The majority of the funding will provide for increased federal matching funds for Minnesota’s Medicaid program. Other funding will increase support for food, economic assistance and children’s programs. |
