Background

State and federal regulations provide people who receive services administered by the state of Minnesota various rights, protections and safeguards. These services protect a person from violation of his/her human and civil rights.

Consumer safeguards and protections are addressed through various mechanisms. The chapter provides access to several services that assure the health and welfare of service recipients through state-developed standards.
