PUBLIC Summary of Settlement Agreement License Holder: Barbara and Joyce Aanestad License Number: 1034198 Program Type: Family Child Care Date of Licensing Action: March 9, 2026 Licensing Action Taken: Order of License Revocation Action appealed and settlement agreement signed by Commissioner on: May 19, 2026 Terms of Settlement Agreement: 1. Household Member will be removed as a household member or affiliated individual from the program. 2. License Holders’ family child care license, no. 1034198, will be placed on conditional status for a period of one (1) year from the effective date of this Agreement. While under the conditional license, License Holders must comply with the following terms: a. License Holders must follow and comply with all applicable Minnesota Statutes and Rules, including Minnesota Rules, parts 9502.0300 through 9502.0445. b. No variances to age distribution or capacity will be granted during the conditional period. c. License Holders must ensure that Household Member will not reside in or be present on the licensed property during the program’s operating hours or at any time when children served by the program are present. d. License Holders must ensure that Household Member does not otherwise have any direct contact with, or access to, the children served by the program when they are receiving services. e. License Holders will not use Household Member as a caregiver, substitute caregiver, or emergency replacement in the program. f. In accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 142B.18, subdivision 6, License Holders agree to post this Agreement in a location in the family child care program that is conspicuous to the parents or guardians of the children receiving services and all visitors to the program for a period of two (2) years from the effective date of the program’s reopening. 3. The expiration of the conditional license status imposed upon License Holders as a result of this Agreement does not affect or modify Household Member’s disqualification or the disqualification period as determined by DHS.
