July 2, 2024 Nura Dalmarawil, Authorized Agent Cedar Child Care Center, Inc. 3011 Cedar Ave. S Minneapolis, MN 55407 License Number 1081002 (Child Care Center)
ORDER LIFTING TEMPORARY IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION
Dear Nura Dalmarawil, The Department of Human Services (DHS) is lifting the June 20, 2024, Order of Temporary Immediate Suspension of your child care license located at 3011 Cedar Ave. S, Minneapolis, MN. This Order is effective immediately and you may resume operation of your child care at this location. DHS temporarily immediately suspended your license to provide child care based on a determination that children served by your program were at imminent risk of harm. This was a result of information obtained from the Minnesota State Fire Marshal that the building your child care center is located in did not have operable fire protection systems. The fire alarm panel and the sprinkler systems had been rendered inoperable and required substantial work to repair. The building did not have operable life safety systems and was determined unsafe for children to be served in this location. On July 2, 2024, DHS received documentation from you and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal that demonstrates sufficient compliance with the fire code violations to establish that there is no longer an imminent risk of harm to children served by your program. If you have any further questions regarding this matter, you may contact Meg Holmen, Unit Supervisor, at 651-431-6030, extension 4013. Sincerely,
Peggy Cunningham, Child Care Center Unit Manager Licensing Division Office of Inspector General
