MN-ITS Login

If you operate on Windows XP or Windows 2000, get the automatic Windows updates from Microsoft and experience recurrent problems logging in to MN-ITS, follow these steps:

  • • In Internet Explorer, select:
  • • “Tools”
  • • “Internet Options”
  • • “Security” tab
  • • “Trusted Sites”
  • • “Sites” button
  • • In the box under “Add this Web site to the zone:” enter the URL https://mn-its.dhs.state.mn.us for MN-ITS and select “Add.” You will then see MN-ITS in the bottom white box. Select “OK”. This will take you back to the “Security” tab.
  • • In the “Security” tab, select:
  • • “Custom Level” near the bottom
  • • Scroll down (about 2/3) to “Software Channel Permissions”
  • • If your system is set to “Low Safety”, you may want to change it to “Medium safety”
  • • “OK”
    You will be asked to verify this change. Select “yes.”
  • • Select the “Content” tab
  • • Under the “Personal information” section, select “AutoComplete”
  • • Uncheck the third option “User names and passwords on forms”
    This will allow you to enter your ID and password each time you enter MN-ITS.
  • • Select “OK” and then “OK” again to confirm changes and return to the Web
  • These changes will require that you enter your User ID and Password anew each time you enter MN-ITS, as the system will not remember your ID and password on the login page.

    If you cannot get to these setting, please contact your IT department.
