Effective Jan. 1, 2014, provider requirements for developmental disabilities services currently licensed under Chapter 245B will be repealed. The new home and community-based services standards under Chapter 245D become effective on Jan. 1, 2014.

245B DD service license applications discontinued

DHS will no longer accept applications for a 245B DD Services license, unless a 245B license is required to provide DD services before Jan. 1, 2013. DHS will return applications postmarked later than May 15, 2013, and refund the application fee.

DHS will process any 245B license applications received on or before May 15, 2013, and issue the license if DHS approves the application.

For more information on this topic and the 245D application process, see licensing programs for people with developmental disabilities.
