Reports and Forecasts Division is responsible for meeting federal statistical reporting requirements for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program (TANF ― called MFIP in Minnesota), the Medical Assistance program (MA/Medicaid) and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). It provides forecasts of program caseloads and expenditures, which are used in budget development. It provides fiscal notes to accompany proposed legislation. It responds to requests for statistical information on cash, food and medical assistance programs.
