Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DHHS)
This division of the Minnesota Department of Human Services has eight regional offices statewide providing services for deaf and hard of hearing consumers. The services includes information and referral, sensitivity and awareness trainings, resource and equipment demonstration labs.
The Minnesota Relay connects deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired people to hearing people over the telephone. This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is no charge.
CenturyLink Directory or Operator Assistance Exemption
Qwest provides 411 at no cost to people who are visually or physically disabled and qualify for an operator to place the call for them.
State Services for the Blind (SSB)
SSB provides various programs for people who are vision impaired or blind. These programs include rehabilitation services, communication center services and a store where equipment is sold.
Speech to Speech Relay (STS)
This is a service through the Minnesota Relay for people who have speech difficulties. A communication assistance facilitates the call for a person who is difficult to understand.

Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program Association (TEDPA)
A national organization of representatives from 11 different Equipment Distribution Programs. The purpose of this organization is to educate each other to improve the quality and effectiveness of their programs.
Vision Loss Resources
Vision Loss Resources provides a full range of services to people who have a vision loss. These services include adjustment to blindness services, consulting, travel training and independent living services.
