CDCS is a service option available to people on home and community-based services (HCBS) waivers and the Alternative Care (AC) program. CDCS gives people flexibility in service planning and responsibility to self-direct their services, including hiring and managing their support workers. A CDCS support plan may include traditional services and goods, as well as self-designed services.
This section of the manual provides instructions to code the CDCS service option on waiver and AC screening documents and service agreements.
