13.9.6 Entering Disqualification Periods in MEC2 - Providers

Only state staff enter provider disqualifications in MEC².

If your County or Tribal Attorney establishes a provider disqualification through a court proceeding, which applies to any of the following actions, follow guidance in Chapter 13.3 (Fraud Referrals) for contacting the Office of Inspector General (OIG) Child Care Audits and Investigations Unit to have them enter the disqualification on your agency’s behalf.

  • · A conviction in federal or state court
  • · A pre-trial diversion
  • · Court-ordered stay which carries with it any other probationary terms or conditions
  • · A signed disqualification consent agreement
  • Legal authority
