16.39 Medical Restrictions & Child Care

Child care can be authorized for some situations in which medical restrictions temporarily prevent other activities, including:
Impact of medical leave during 12-month eligibility period for child care assistance
Status of Participation in Employment Plan Activities | Schedule Reporter | 12-Month Reporter |
Participating for any number of hours in any activities. | Care would decrease based on activity schedule. | Care continues at same level. |
Not participating but expected to return after leave. | If they are involved in other activity: care would decrease based on activity schedule. | Care continues at same level (temporary leave of absence). |
Not participating and not expected to return after leave. | Care continues at same level for up to 3 months or until redetermination, whichever occurs first (Extended Eligibility). | Care continues at same level for up to 3 months or until redetermination, whichever occurs first (Extended Eligibility). |
