19.18 Steps Before Imposing a Sanction

Do the following before starting the sanction process:
· Review the employment plan to determine if the plan is still appropriate.· Determine whether the participant has a good cause reason for not complying. See 19.9 (Good Cause).· Consider whether providing a pre-employment activity in the plan will help the participant address challenges that have prevented compliance. See 19.33 (Face-to-Face Meetings for 100% Sanctions).
Continue these and other activities to attempt to engage participants and resolve the sanction in subsequent months of sanction. See:
