Conciliation Conference

What It Is.

An informal and voluntary meeting for the employment counselor and participant to discuss their disagreement.

  • · An optional step, less procedurally complex than fair hearings and may solve disagreements more quickly.
  • Purpose.

    To reach mutual agreement on how to settle the disagreement.

    Who Initiates the Process.

    Either the participant or the employment counselor.

    What Can Trigger the Process.

  • · Receiving a Notice of Intent to Sanction.
  • · A disagreement about the contents or interpretation of the employment plan.
  • The process.

    An employment services agency supervisor or someone designated by the supervisor must review the outcome of the meeting.
