16.49 PARIS Interstate Match
ISSUE DATE: 10/2026
Minnesota participates in the Public Assistance Reporting Information System (PARIS). This data matching process sends all participating states client data once per quarter to PARIS. When a match is determined, a client may have received assistance in another state at the same time they received assistance in Minnesota. A PARIS Interstate Alert is generated for each person, each case and for each program worker (CCAP, Cash, Food Support, Health Care).
Agencies are required to resolve Interstate Matches within 45 days of receipt.
Resolving PARIS Matches
To resolve a match, verification of residency is needed. Determine if verification is needed or if verification is on file. See MEC² User Manual section “PARIS Interstate Match”.
If a match is received on an open Child Care case with an active Cash, Food Support and/or Health Care program the CCAP worker needs to work closely with the MAXIS worker to resolve the match. See MEC² User Manual section “PARIS Match – Child Care with Cash, Food Support or Health Care”.
If a match is received on an open Child Care only case, the CCAP worker must work with the DCYF PARIS Match Coordinator to resolve the match. See MEC² User Manual section “PARIS Match – Child Care Only Case”.
