Purpose: To announce free training for people who work with or support people with autism
Minnesota Department of Human Services is offering free online training for families, providers and others who want to know more about working with and supporting people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related conditions.
The training, “ASD Strategies in Action,” provides practical information and skills, demonstrated with real-life examples in the home, school, community and workplace.
To request a free training subscription or if you would like to arrange training for your organization county or tribal nation, email DHS.
The Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) health care benefit is designed to promote an individual’s social interaction, communication and behavioral skills. EIDBI also targets long-term outcomes and quality of life for people and their families.
The benefit offers medically necessary treatment for people under the age of 21 on Medical Assistance (MA) with autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. Services are based on the family’s values, language, culture and preferences.
