New benefits for people who participate in personal care assistance (PCA), consumer-directed community supports (CDCS) and Consumer Support Grant (CSG) and their workers

PCA, CDCS and CSG workers soon will have the opportunity to receive two new benefits. These benefits promote a well-trained workforce and provide financial incentive to provide high-quality services to people with the highest needs.

Beginning July 1, 2018, the following benefits will be available to workers who qualify by taking specific trainings:

  • • A $500 stipend for the first 5,000 PCA Choice, CDCS and CSG direct support workers who meet the training requirements
  • • A 5 percent enhanced rate for PCA Traditional, PCA Choice, CDCS and CSG personal support services provided to people who qualify for 12 or more hours of PCA services per day.
