Visitor parking:

Southeast of the building, enter from Willius Street, just south of Eighth Street Overflow on Grove Street, half-block west of Lafayette.

Disability parking:

In front of the main east entrance.

Short-term parking: One-hour spaces along the east side.

Directions:

From Minneapolis and areas west of St. Paul:

Take 94 east to Exit 242C (7th St). Use the left lane to merge onto Wall St at the top of the ramp. Turn left onto E 7th Street / Fort Road. Turn left onto Lafayette Rd. DHS’ 444 Lafayette Building is one-half block up and the first office building on the right.

From Minneapolis International Airport or Bloomington:

Take Highway 494 east to 35E north to 94 east. Take Exit 242C (7th St). Use the left lane to merge onto Wall St at the top of the ramp. Turn left onto E 7th Street / Fort Road. Turn left onto Lafayette Rd. DHS is one-half block up and the 1st office building on the right.

From areas east of St. Paul:

Take 94 west to Exit 243 (Hwy 61, Kellogg Blvd, Mounds Blvd). Continue on Mounds Blvd to E 7th St. Turn left onto E 7th St. (you’ll be heading west). Continue on E 7th St to Lafayette Rd N. Turn right on Lafayette Rd N. DHS’ 444 Lafayette Building is one-half block up and the first office building on the right.

From areas north of St. Paul:

Take Highway 694 east or west to 35E south. Take Exit 107 C (University Ave, State Capitol, Hospital). Turn left onto University Ave E. Continue to Lafayette Road and turn right. DHS’ 444 Lafayette Building is two blocks down on the left.

From areas south of St. Paul:

Take 35W (or 35E) north to 94 east. Take 94 east to Exit 242C (7th St). Use the left lane to merge onto Wall St at the top of the ramp. Turn left onto E 7th Street / Fort Road. Turn left onto Lafayette Rd. Turn left onto Lafayette. DHS is one-half block up and the first office building on the right.

Or

Take 35E (or 35W) north to 494 east. Take 494 E to US Hwy 52 north. As you cross the river, keep right and take the fork for 7th St (Downtown, Hwy 5). This fork becomes Kittson St, which will meet E 7th St / Fort Rd at a traffic light. Turn right onto E 7th St / Fort Rd. Turn right onto Lafayette Rd N. DHS is one-half block up and the first office building on the right.

Rochester:

Take Highway 52 north to St. Paul. As you cross the river, keep right and take the fork for 7th St (Downtown, Hwy 5). This fork becomes Kittson St, which will meet E 7th St / Fort Rd at a traffic light. Turn right onto E 7th St / Fort Rd. Turn right onto Lafayette Rd N. DHS is one-half block up and the first office building on the right.
