Updating and Refreshing Data in Documents

The document setup entry fields at times need to be added or updated. Or, information entered on a client has changed but doesn’t display accurately on the document setup. SSIS has built in visual reminders to assist you with updating this information and including it in your document.

First, yellow warning markers indicate what needs to be entered on the document setup tab before it can be saved.

Blue underlined words are links back to the data entry screen for that individual field. For example, you have entered the clients’ name but have neglected to enter their address. Click on the Address hyperlink and it takes you to where a new address can be entered.

Enter the new address and when you return to the document, click the Display Setup button, and it displays in the drop-down menu for selection.

If you made an error on the entry of this address, you can use the same blue hyperlink to correct the error. This time when you return to the Document Setup tab a new wreath icon displays. When this icon is shown it alerts the worker that the information has been changed in the SSIS application, but not in the Document Setup tab nor the Document itself.

In order for the updated address to autofill, the field must be refreshed. Use the green refresh button next to the address drop-down menu. The wreath no longer displays and the correct address is updated.
