AASD and DSD eList announcement
Date: Dec. 30, 2024
To: Lead agencies (counties and tribal nations), case managers, Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) data entry staff and other interested parties
From: DHS Aging and Adult Services and Disability Services divisions
Purpose: To instruct lead agency staff not to enter service agreements in MMIS until DHS sends an all-clear eList
Effective: Immediately
Contact: dhs.ccarates@state.mn.us
Do not add or make changes to MMIS service agreements
Effective immediately, lead agency staff must not make changes to Brain Injury (BI), Community Alternative Care (CAC), Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI), Developmental Disabilities (DD) or Elderly Waiver (EW) service agreements in MMIS until DHS sends an all-clear eList to lead agencies.
Note: This does not apply to Alternative Care (AC), Essential Community Supports (ECS), Community First Services and Supports (CFSS) or Consumer Support Grant (CSG) service agreements.
Due to technical difficulties with the original MMIS automation process, DHS must run another automation process on Dec. 31, 2024, to split the following state plan home care and personal care assistance (PCA) lines items:
If lead agency staff already manually split the affected line items, the line will change to suspended status during the automation process.
DHS will send an all-clear eList after the automation process runs to alert lead agencies they can resume entering service agreements in MMIS.
For more information, refer to DHS – MMIS automation process for Jan. 1, 2025.
