CFSS implementation updates

DHS began the transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS on Oct. 1, 2024. We will provide regular updates throughout the transition.

Policy manual

DHS updated CFSS Manual – CFSS service delivery plan development and approval process to:

· Clarify the lead agency instructions for temporary approval of CFSS services to avoid a gap in services, including the requirement to complete the full process after temporary approval.

· Add an example of a temporary authorization.

Forms and documents

DHS updated translated versions of Information for people eligible for CFSS services, DHS-6893U (PDF) to match recent updates to the English version:

MMIS instructions

DHS posted DSD MMIS Reference Guide – Update a type B CFSS SA. This new page provides instructions on how to update SAs for mid-year changes.

MMIS system updates

DHS continues to test and fix bugs in MMIS. Counties/tribal nations can use Service Agreement and Screening Document (SASD) Support Team Portal, DHS 3754 to report issues to DHS.

Training

DHS encourages lead agencies, providers and people receiving services to review CFSS Manual – Resources, including:

· CFSS forms.

· Training information.

· Lists of available providers.

· Planning tools.
