    Discussion

    Annual goal

The committee’s goal is: Create and maintain training materials as needs are discovered and as project opportunities emerge. Some projects may include: PSTP examples, reinforcement (token) programs, implementing Minnesota Rule 9544 for 245D-licensed providers, trainings for specific behaviors or disorders (PICA, fecal smearing, self-harm ingestion), and relating that to state regulations.

    New goal discussion:

Suggested goal language: Support initiatives that streamline compliance with positive support regulations to reduce administrative burden, and advance efforts that foster psychological safety in the workplace for providers.

Discussion: Committee member sees value in goal directed work; however, believes the committee would complete emergent projects as the need arises regardless. Goals assist in keeping vision of services and tasks in the forefront. New goal language is succinct and meets current needs. Continuing updates on workforce shortage efforts is desired. Stacie mentioned input is needed in preparing a proposal that addresses a caretaker credential.

Any interest in hearing from other providers such as MITH, PRTF, Crisis respite, DCYF services, etc.? Yes. Pursuing potential guest speakers is a possibility.

Discussed statute requirement to review Positive Support Rule.
