SSIS801A Fiscal New Worker Training-Service Arrangement Basics
Course Description: Service Arrangements define purchased services, the details of the service, along with the limits for those services and can be used as templates for payments. The tasks and objectives associated with this training will have learners leaving with general comprehension of:
- how to create a Service Arrangement in SSIS;
- why it is best practice to use Service Arrangements;
- the approval process for Service Arrangements;
- creating pre-printed vouchers from Service Arrangements;
- reviewing Service Arrangement Groups and Service Agreements
- distinguishing between client specific and non-client specific Service Arrangements.
SSIS801B Fiscal New Worker Training-Payment Basics
Course Description: One of the Federal requirements is the capability to enter and record payment requests for services. All payments related to children are required to be entered in SSIS.The tasks and objectives associated with this training will have learners leaving with general comprehension of:
- workflow between SSIS and the "County Accounting System" for payments;
- creating a payment batch and batch proofing;
- creating payment requests using Service Arrangements and not using Service Arrangements;
- the payment request approval process
- creating posted payments;
- payment modifications.
SSIS801C Fiscal New Worker Training-Healthcare Claiming Basics
Course Description: Healthcare Claiming provides a means to validate and correct potential claims, create claim batches, submit the claims to the agency's MN-ITS mailbox, and process responses between SSIS and MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System). The tasks and objectives associated with this training will have learners leaving with general comprehension of:
- defining healthcare claiming in SSIS;
- the healthcare claiming workflow;
- healthcare claiming requirements and common proofing messages for all claim categories;
- claim batch submissions;
- reprocessing healthcare claims (void, submit, finalize) healthcare claims.
Registration Process
Registration is through TrainLink and closes two days before the class start date. New workers who have not attended a class through TrainLink must first register for a unique key. To find the SSIS Child Protection Worker course from TrainLink, select Children’s Services from the list of Leaning Centers, click the Class Schedule, and search under the category All SSIS Classes. When you find the class date you wish to register for, click Enroll in this class or Join the Waitlist if the class is full.
Trainees will receive additional information one week prior to training, including handouts and the virtual classroom registration link.
