The 2013 Minnesota Legislature originally authorized a 1 percent rate increase effective April 1, 2014, for continuing care providers. Refer to DHS bulletin #14-69-01 (PDF).

When the MMIS automation process ran on March 11, 2014, technical difficulties occurred in calculating and adjusting DT&H transportation rates. There were also difficulties calculating and adjusting DT&H full-day, partial-day and transportation-service rates for people receiving DT&H services residing in intermediate care facilities for people with developmental disabilities (ICF/DD). MMIS programming adjustments currently are being made to fix specific procedure codes and DT&H provider rate files.

Currently, DT&H full-day, partial-day and transportation service rates for people receiving DT&H services and residing in ICF/DD facilities have been entered into DT&H provider rate files. Lead agencies now can re-enter these service agreements for people receiving DT&H services and residing in ICF/DD facilities. Other technical problems that produced interfering edits will be resolved, shortly. DHS will notify lead agencies when MMIS programming resolves all of the technical difficulties producing interfering edits.

More information, including the new service rate limits, is at Continuing Care and other provider rate and grant changes. Please review the 2014 MMIS automation instructions for detail on changing the rates on service agreements in MMIS. DHS published InfoPac reports to identify those affected services agreements lead agencies need to adjust in MMIS.
