SSIS Child Protection Basics Training
The SSIS Child Protection Basics courses follow the case life cycle. Each course offers an overview of SSIS data entry and navigation for child protection. Some courses cover the workflow from opening a workgroup to closing or transitioning to another one. Other courses focus on specific functionality, folders, or processes in SSIS. These courses are designed à la carte to provide flexibility and allow independent focus on workgroup or functionality-specific learning. Participants can take as many courses as they like, in any order. Training is delivered as a blended virtual class and is aimed at new child protection workers, SSIS Mentors, and those seeking a refresher. New workers are encouraged to complete the online SSIS Essentials eLearning before enrolling in any of the CP Basics courses; however, this is not a requirement.
Note: Please be advised that some of these courses include very basic workflows for new workers and minimally cover elements of the Indian Child Welfare Act, Minnesota Indian Family Preservation Act (ICWA/MIFPA), and Permanency. Other courses are under development that will cover these topics in more detail and will be offered in the near future.
