CFSS implementation updates

DHS began the transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS on Oct. 1, 2024. We will provide regular updates early in the transition.

Policy manual

DHS made the following changes:

· Updated CFSS Manual – PCA/CFSS process to change service options/models to explain that lead agencies must always review the person’s new CFSS service delivery plan.

· Updated CFSS Manual – Changing PCA/CFSS providers and CFSS Manual – PCA/CFSS service agreement technical changes and corrections with instructions on using the new forms posted on Jan. 21, 2025.

MMIS instructions

DHS made the following changes:

· Updated MMIS Reference Guide – ASA3 screen for worker supervision/training (PCA: T1019 – UA; CFSS: S5116) to clarify the county/tribal nation always enters the full amount of the current rate in the requested total amount (REQ TOT AMT) field.

· Updated MMIS Reference Guide – 45-day temporary start of CFSS services to add information about entering a worker supervision and training (S5116) line.

MMIS system updates

DHS finished extending three-month PCA SAs to six months, as described in the Nov. 26, 2024, eList announcement. If a county, tribal nation or provider identifies an SA that DHS has not updated, they must submit a request to DHS to update it using PCA Request Form, DHS-4292 (counties/tribal nations) or PCA Technical Change Request, DHS-4074A (providers).

DHS continues to test and fix bugs in MMIS. Counties and tribal nations can use Service Agreement and Screening Document (SASD) Support Team Portal, DHS 3754 to report issues to DHS.
