Webinar announcement: Virtual Roundtable with Licensing and Disability Services: Supporting Staff and Meeting 245D Training Requirements

Description

This session hosted by the DHS Licensing and Disability Services divisions will explore how organizations can support direct support professionals in their efforts to implement:

  • Positive supports.
  • Person-centered practices.
  • Skills needed to meet 245D requirements.

Learning objectives

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Share their experiences.
  • Find opportunities to partner with each other.
  • Review 245D requirements and strategies on how to use person-centered practices.
  • Provide ideas on positive supports best practices within the specific topic area covered.

DHS will provide:

  • Additional training resources.
  • Examples or information sheets on specific practices.
  • References to other organizations.

Target audience

All interested parties, including:

  • Lead agency staff.
  • Case managers.
  • Basic, intensive, in-home, residential and employment support service providers.
  • Day service providers.
