Description

DHS is offering a webinar called “Supporting disability providers through community stress and secondary trauma” because ongoing exposure to stress increases the risk of secondary trauma, compassion fatigue and burnout. After the session, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize how and why trauma and secondary trauma show up in caregiving roles.
  • Describe how stress may affect providers and the people they support.
  • List and apply practical, trauma-informed tools and coping strategies at work.
