Self-paced online course: Getting to Work: A case manager’s guide to supporting employment

Overview

This training emphasizes the critical role case managers play in ensuring opportunities to experience competitive employment. This course is required for case managers as stated in MN Statutes 256B.092, subd 1a. Learners will have six weeks to complete this course after registering. More detailed instructions are available within the TrainLink course.

This course is broken into six modules:

  1. Employment Foundations
  2. Employment Pathways
  3. The Employment Process
  4. Collaborating with Vocational Rehabilitation
  5. E1MN Basic Training
  6. E1MN Case Manager Training

Goals

  • Identify ways to support people with employment opportunities
  • Describe basic elements of employment foundations, pathways and processes
  • Demonstrate your role as case manager in connecting people to employment supports and collaborating with other professionals
