Child Safety & Permanency

Child Maltreatment Reports – NEW Transfer option

  • The Minnesota Department of Human Services, DHS Licensing - Intake and Investigations Unit is now able to send and receive Child Maltreatment Reports (CMRs) through SSIS rather than via fax or email. Reports of alleged maltreatment can be transferred to DHS Central Intake by choosing SSIS Licensing in the transfer drop down selection. DHS Licensing will also transfer CMRs to county Child Protection for reports that are received by DHS but fall under the jurisdiction of the county. See the updated Child Maltreatment Report Transfer Process—February 2024 (state.mn.us) for additional details and instructions.

QRTP EPR Review updates

  • QRTP Extended Placement Review issue resolved – previously it would sometimes show an EPR was due earlier than needed when a provider was not certified for QRTP and had no payments in SSIS, this is now resolved.
  • The ‘Agency Review and Status Section’ help text/hyperlink now correctly opens to the corresponding information.

Data cleanup message defect - resolved

  • Defect causing a data cleanup message to appear when there were no foster parents listed in a bus org, for a placement that should not require foster parents (such as for residential settings), has been resolved.

Service Plans

  • OHPP – warning messages in setup have been updated to allow for saving OHPP setup when not fully completed to allow for users to save, then leave and return to complete the setup.
  • OHPP – Hyperlinks within the OHPP are now correctly opening for links to MN Statutes when accessing SSIS via Azure.
  • The PSOP Plan has been inactivated – the new Child Welfare (CW) and Parent Support Outreach (PSOP) plans, which should now be accessed from within the In-Home Services Plan, should now be used in place of the previous PSOP and Social Services Plans.
