Diversionary Work Program & Minnesota Family Investment Program for Providers

Minnesota’s economic support programs help families and individuals work toward economic stability. The Diversionary Work Program (DWP) is a four-month program that helps low-income Minnesota families find a job. When families first apply for cash assistance, most will participate in DWP. The Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) is the state’s primary program for helping low-income families with children move out of poverty through work.

NOITS Pilot
On June 30th, 2023, the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) began piloting a new version of the DHS-3175, Notice of Intent to Sanction (NOITS). The pilot version was generated in Workforce One for cases with an EVEN Record ID Number. Cases with an ODD Record ID Number continued to generate the current version of the NOITS. There were no changes to policy or to how the NOITS is completed within Workforce One during this pilot.
As of March 29th, 2024, the pilot is ending. This means that the pilot version will no longer generate in Workforce One for cases with an even Record ID Number. Data will be reviewed to determine the effect of the pilot NOITS. We are also seeking your feedback and experience with the pilot NOITS. Please completed this brief survey to share any feedback you may have.
Once data and feedback has been reviewed, we will determine if any additional updates are needed to improve the NOITS. An announcement will be made when the updated NOITS is ready for publication to Workforce One and eDocs. A NOITS training is also being developed. The PDF version of the new NOITS is available for review.
Note: The Record ID Number in Workforce One is different from a MAXIS case number. This number is exclusively used within Workforce One and is unique to each individual person record.
If you have any questions about this pilot, please contact Kayla.Merrill@state.mn.us.
