Checklist available to assess the quality of functional behavior assessments
A team of DHS staff and professionals from the community developed the optional Functional Behavior Assessment Quality Checklist, DHS-6810F (PDF) tool to help create and assess the quality of functional behavior assessments (FBAs).
If someone you know has an FBA but still engages in interfering behavior, this tool might help identify missing key information. While this tool was designed for FBA authors, other members of expanded care teams might find it helpful for providing friendly feedback.
