Lead agency employment liaisons

We posted a new resource, CBSM – Resource: Lead agency employment liaisons, to describe the responsibilities of employment liaisons.

DHS asks each lead agency to appoint at least one staff person to serve as their employment liaison. Employment liaisons serve as the main point of contact to help build a coordinated system for people on waivers to meet their employment goals.

Employment

We updated CBSM – Employment to add a new section about employment liaisons with a link to the new page, CBSM – Resource: Lead agency employment liaisons.

Guide for emergency back-up planning

We posted a new resource, CBSM – Resource: Guide for emergency backup planning, to provide best practices, guidance and resources for case managers and care coordinators to help people develop and document back-up plans for staffing emergencies. Back-up planning before an emergency occurs will help each person make an informed choice based on their individualized goals and preferences.

For more information, see the May 3, 2022, eList announcement.
