Free MTI quarterly training

“Leading the Way: How Counties are Advancing Employment First Across Minnesota” is a virtual training opportunity hosted by the University of Minnesota Institute on Community Integration (ICI) on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026.

    At this quarterly training, MTI will explain how lead agencies are leading Minnesota’s Employment First movement by sharing how six lead agencies have spent the past two years working to:

  • · Build local capacity.
  • · Strengthen partnerships.
  • · Train staff.
  • · Engage providers and employers.
  • · Create lasting community change to improve employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
  • The training will cover:

  • · Innovative approaches.
  • · Lessons learned.
  • · Early successes.
  • · Plans to build on this work and continue moving Employment First forward across their communities.
  • After the training, participants will understand the importance of lead agency leadership in creating sustainable employment systems and improving outcomes across Minnesota.
