7.3.1 Verification of families experiencing homelessness

Requirements at application

A family experiencing homelessness is not required to submit verifications at application. The family must submit proof of eligibility, including all required verifications within three months of the application date.

Requirements by end of the three month period

A family experiencing homelessness must verify that they meet all of the following requirements by the end of the three month period for eligibility to continue:

  • · Submit all verifications required at application. See Chapter 7.3 (Verification –Initial Application)
  • · Submit verification of income reported at application to determine the family met the entrance income limit at application. See Chapter 6.3 (Income Limits).
  • · Participate in an authorized activity. See Chapter 4.6.9 (Authorized Activities for Families Experiencing Homelessness).
  • · Cooperate with Child Support Enforcement. See Chapter 4.9.15 (Child Support Cooperation for Families Experiencing Homelessness).
  • NOTES:

  • · Do not delete the Case Action Window coded as “Homeless Requirements Not Met” until all requirements above are met.
