Managed Care Organization Notes

Overview

Use the Manage Notes section to communicate with Provider Eligibility and Compliance.

Provider Eligibility and Compliance will add notes if they need more information before they can approve a request. The View Notes option will only appear if Provider Eligibility Compliance needs to communicate about a request.

The Manage Notes section displays information on the notes that exist in your request. If there are no notes to display, you will see the message, “There are no items in the list to display.”

Steps to manage MCO Notes:

  • Step 1 Log in to MN–ITS with your MCO username.
  • Step 2 Click on the link for the Minnesota Provider Screening and Enrollment (MPSE) portal in the left-side navigation. This brings you to the MCO Home page.
  • Step 3 Click View Notes from the Request Actions column. This brings you to the Manage Notes page.
  • Step 4 Click the Add a Note button at the bottom of the screen to add a new note to your request.
  • Step 5 This opens the Manage Note page.
  • Step 5a. Enter additional information in Note Text box.
  • Step 5b. Upload any supporting documentation you have that Provider Eligibility and Compliance requested.
  • Step 6 Click Continue to save.
  • Step 7 This returns you to the Manage Notes page.
  • Step 8 Click Continue to save.
  • Step 9 This brings you to the Provider Enrollment Request Information page. If you need to make changes to your Request Information, you can do that here. If no changes need to be made.
  • Step 10 Click Submit.
  • Step 11 Click continue on the Submission Approval page.
  • MCO Manage Notes section basics:

    Note Text

    Displays the text entered in the Note Text box.

    Click More view a note that is longer than what can be displayed in the column. A dialog box appears allowing you to view the entire note.

    User Name

    The User Name box displays the username of the person who created the note. If Provider Eligibility and Compliance made the note, the box will display Provider Enrollment.

    Update Date

    The Date Time box displays the date the note was last updated.

    Note Documentation

    The Note Documentation box displays uploaded documents. If there are no documents uploaded in the note, the field will display, “No document exists.”

    User Actions

    View/Edit

    Click View/Edit to go to the Manage Note page. From this page, you will be able to review and edit the note as needed.

    Delete

    Click Delete to delete the note from your request.

    View

    Click View to go to the Manage Note page. From this page, you can review the note as needed.

    Add a Note

    Click Add a Note to add a new note to your request.

    Continue

    Click Continue to go to the Manage Note page.

    Note Text (on the Manage Note page)

    Type your note in the Note Text box. There is a limit of 4000 characters per note.

    Supporting Note Documentation

    Displays any supporting documents that have been uploaded.

    Remove Upload

    Select the Remove Upload check box to remove your uploaded documentation. This option only appears if a document has been uploaded to this note in MPSE.

    Upload Note Documentation

    Use the Upload Note Documentation box to upload any documents to support your note.

    Cancel

    Click Cancel to return to the Manage Notes page. Any notes you entered or documentation you uploaded will not be saved.

    Continue

    Click Continue this opens the Provider Enrollment Request Information page. If no information needs to be changed, click Submit.
