Introduction
Before you set out to engage the community, you need to be clear about what you want to accomplish – including the work in which you want to engage the community’s help. Meet together to explain why it is important for citizens, groups and organizations to become engaged in your mission. Identify your specific strategic position in the community (See Strategic Positioning module) and discuss the importance you place on building meaningful partnerships with other agencies.
