Purpose: To notify lead agencies of a communication DHS sent to current customized living providers about new assisted living facility licensure requirements
Effective: Aug. 1, 2021

Changes to customized living provider standards
On Feb. 18, 2021, DHS sent a communication to all enrolled customized living providers. The communication, sent to each provider’s MN-ITS mailbox, provided information about new assisted living facility licensure requirements and how they affect providers’ ability to provide customized living services.
Lead agencies do not need to take action, but they should be aware of these changes in case they receive questions from people who receive services or providers.
