Behavioral Health – Training Information

Our Mission

The Behavioral Health Division (BHD) is in the Community Supports Administration at the Minnesota Department of Human Services. BHD consists of the following specialty areas:

  • Adult Mental Health
  • Alcohol, drugs and other addictions (also known as Substance Use)
  • Children’s Mental Health

The mission of the BHD is to offer trainings in cooperation with counties, providers and professionals who need to retain or gain certification(s) and who are involved in providing evidence-based health services in the areas of mental health and/or substance use. BHD offers a variety of training opportunities to mental health professionals, practitioners, rehab workers, case managers, redesign planners, treatment providers, prevention providers and providers who prevent and reduce addiction.

Behavioral Health Learning Center

Use the Behavioral Health Learning Center to manage your training needs. You can use the learning center to find and register for classes, look at course descriptions, complete online learnings, view your training transcript, and more. Use the Help feature in the learning center to get more information about the features.
