The P's of Positioning
Your Volunteers – Even though recruiting and training high-quality volunteers takes money and effort, it is well worth it. In most cases, your best volunteers are people who have personally benefited from your services (and their family and friends). The next most important subset is people who have worked in your field and are dedicated to the mission. As the population ages, more and more people will be looking for meaningful volunteer work. Identify areas where you need the most volunteers (phones, receptionist, webmaster, etc.) and recruit those most suited for the job.
