New Profile Request

Revised: August 21, 2023

Overview

To use the Minnesota Provider Screening and Enrollment (MPSE) portal to enroll with Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP), you must first complete the MPSE registration process.

When creating your new profile request, you must enter all the required information into the fields, which includes legal name, ownership information, location addresses, services you will provide, your credentials and so forth. A new profile request cannot be submitted until all the required information is completed.

Steps to Create a New Profile Request

  • 1. Complete the MPSE Registration process.
  • 2. Look for the email that MHCP will send to the email address you used to register. The email contains a link to MN-ITS where you will access your temporary MPSE account. This MPSE account is only to give you access to MPSE until you can create your permanent MPSE account.
  • 3. Log into MN-ITS from the link in your email. Your login credentials for MN-ITS will be the ones you chose during the registration process for MPSE.
  • 4. You will access the MPSE portal via the Minnesota Provider Screening and Enrollment (MPSE) portal link in the left-side navigation after you log into MN-ITS.

  • 5. Use the steps in the following links to Create a New Profile Request based on the type of provider you are enrolling.
  • · New Individual Provider Enrollers
  • · New Organization Provider Enrollers
  • Once you have completed and submitted your new profile request to MHCP for review, you can track your request status on the Manage Portfolio page of the MPSE portal. If MHCP approves your new profile request, you become an enrolled MHCP provider. You will receive a Welcome Letter via the U.S. Postal Service.

Your Welcome Letter will include login credentials for your permanent MN-ITS account where you can create Global Requests, Enrollment Record Requests and Affiliation Requests to make updates to your enrollment record.
