The Minnesota Children’s Cabinet is an interagency body designed to foster coordination across state agencies, sectors, and systems serving children, with a specific focus on ensuring that policies, services, and resources work together rather than in silos. In the field of children’s mental health, the Cabinet plays a convening role—aligning efforts in public health, education, social services, and beyond—including coordinating the Children's Mental Health Action Team, the “Threads” initiative connecting state and local systems, and leading development of the statewide plan for children’s mental health.
