Updates on the home and community-based services (HCBS) rule and the provider attestation requirement
The HCBS rule and what it means for people receiving services
DHS has updated the Transition plan for home and community-based settings webpage with information to help people understand what the HCBS rule means for them.
The Disability Linkage Line has created the first in a series of flyers to explain to people what’s changing, why it’s changing and what those changes might mean.
In the coming months, DHS will send additional flyers to people to explain other changes designed to improve the quality of home and community-based services.
Update on HCBS provider attestation process
DHS has also updated the Transition plan for home and community-based settings webpage with more information about the provider attestation process.
The attestation process is required for providers of specific HCBS waiver services to demonstrate that they meet new federal requirements or to indicate that they need more assistance.
