Minnesota Provider Screening and Enrollment Manual

New Provider Enrollers

Revised: January 3, 2024

Overview

The portfolio contains all the information related to the individual or business profile and provides a high-level overview of the profile information and requests. It holds organizational and individual provider profile requests.

New provider enrollers (NPE) who are not enrolled with Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) must first create a portfolio by clicking the Create Portfolio button. If a provider was previously enrolled by a managed care organization, or has an inactive portfolio and received a Portfolio Return Key, they can click Retrieve Portfolio to access their portfolio.

If you are not able to make edits to your portfolio in the Minnesota Provider Screening and Enrollment (MPSE) portal after your enrollment has been approved, you need to register for MNITS-. The login username and password found on your initial welcome letter gives you access to a temporary account. After you are approved for enrollment, you will need to register for a permanent MN-ITS account to access and make changes in MPSE.

View this online video, MPSE Portal Registration for New Provider Enrollers, for instructions to complete your new provider registration. A guide for registering and enrolling using the MPSE portal can be found on the Registration and Access page of the MPSE User Manual.
