Below are resources for child care providers who serve families using child care assistance or who want to learn how to register as a child care assistance provider.
CCAP Provider resources
- The CCAP Provider Guide (DHS-5260) (PDF) explains what child care providers need to know for families who get benefits from the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP).
- The MEC² PRO Provider Manual (PDF) is a tool to assist Child Care Assistance Program providers to submit bills online through MEC² PRO.
A YouTube video is available to explain how providers bill the Child Care Assistance Program. The video describes the billing rules, policies, and demonstrates how a provider can bill using MEC² PRO.

Child Care Assistance Program Provider Orientation Training
Learn more about the Child Care Assistance Program by taking Child Care Assistance Provider Orientation Training on Develop. This is a two-hour orientation course for the Child Care Assistance Program. You will need a Develop account to register.
- Go to https://developtoolmn.org and select Log in/Register.
- In the Course Title field enter “Child Care Assistance” and click search at the bottom of the page.
- Select the applicable course. It is offered in English, Spanish and Somali.

Provider email subscription
Sign up for the CCAP Provider ListServ for periodic email updates by visiting the DCYF Email Updates webpage at https://public.govdelivery.com/accounts/MNDCYF/subscriber/new.
- Enter your email address and click “Submit.”
- Select "Child care providers registered with CCAP " under "Child Care,” and click “Submit.”
- Enter your first name and your Child Care provider type.
