This manual letter contains new and revised information for the MFIP Employment Services Manual.

Attachment A below contains a list of the new and revised sections and a brief description of each change. EXCEPT for minor clarifications and corrections of existing policy, or otherwise noted effective dates, all new and revised instructions are EFFECTIVE October 1, 2001.
HIGHLIGHTED CHANGE #1: This manual letter contains rate changes which were EFFECTIVE 10-1-01. This includes the Grant Standards in Appendix A.
NOTE: This manual letter does NOT contain 2001 legislative changes. Those will be in a subsequent manual letter.
ATTACHMENT A
REVISED AND DELETED SECTIONS
All revised sections are dated "ML 6 10/2001".
§5.1.30 (Nature and Duration of Sanctions) changes the amounts in the examples to reflect the 10-1-01 MFIP standards changes. Also, in #1 under "2nd/Subsequent Occurrence Sanction", the amount of the cash portion of the grant was corrected (subtract $450 from $532).
§6.1.60 (Grant Standards) changes the amounts in the examples to reflect the 10-1-01 MFIP standards changes.
§6.1.90 (Actual Budgeting) changes the amounts in the examples to reflect the 10-1-01 MFIP standards changes. The language is clarified in several places.
Appendix A - Grant Standards updates the MFIP grant standards. All MFIP standards are included.
Appendix A - Grants/Earnings Tables and Exit Levels are updated.
Appendix D - Child Care Assistance Program Copayment Schedule contains the SFY 2001 schedules.
