Eligibility and criteria | A person may use their individual CDCS funds to purchase internet access if it: Eligibility and the unbundling projectWhen people transition to the unbundled service categories, they can no longer use CDCS funds to purchase internet access. Non-covered services | CDCS funds do not cover enhanced features or upgrades beyond basic internet service (e.g., higher speed). | ||
Secondary information | Combined servicesIf the internet service is combined with other services, the person must give the lead agency an itemized statement that verifies the separated cost of the internet service. Least costly optionThere are no service rate limitations, but the lead agency is responsible to authorize the least costly internet service available in the person’s geographic location. To ensure it authorizes the least costly option, the lead agency can ask the person to submit internet service cost estimates from the available providers prior to authorization. | ||
