Overview | Under CDCS, a person can choose traditional goods and services available through the Alternative Care (AC) program and home and community-based services (HCBS) waivers, and design services to meet his/her specific needs. The goods and services approved in the person’s CDCS Community Support Plan (CSP) must be categorized into one of four service categories:
Purpose and use | Categorizing the goods and services a person uses allows the financial management services (FMS) provider to separate and appropriately bill for the approved goods and services. The lead agency only uses service categories in the person’s CDCS CSP; it does not authorize service categories on service agreements.
