AFGHAN SPECIAL IMMIGRANT VISA HOLDERS

Afghan Special Immigrant Visa Holders are people who worked with or for the United States Military in the war in Afghanistan and received protection in the United States for their service. People have been arriving in the United States with this status since 2006. Afghan Sepcial Immigrant Visa Holders are Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs) upon entry into the United States.

Use SAVE to confirm the LPR status. If SAVE does not confirm LPR status, submit a PolicyQuest (PQ) and attach available immigration documentation for further assistance.
