Definition | County of financial responsibility (CFR): Entity who assumes responsibility to monitor and implement all paperwork and action related to a person from the county for whom they are financially responsible living in an intermediate care facility for persons with developmental disabilities (ICF/DD). | ||
CFR duties | The CFR has many primary responsibilities to a person who uses the ICF/DD system. The CFR conducts or arranges diagnostic evaluations to determine whether a person has or may have a developmental disability and/or related health condition. If the CFR determines a person has a developmental disability or related health condition, the county informs the person that case management services are available.
