Update on launch of MnCHOICES revision project

On Monday, Oct. 2, 2023, DHS will start Phase 2 of the partner-advised rolling launch of the revised MnCHOICES application first announced in this April 26, 2023, eList.

During Phase 1, DHS reviewed data on the implementation of the revised MnCHOICES application each week. Also, we asked lead agencies and users for information and feedback. This data helped us figure out when to start the next launch phase and supports our decision to move forward as planned.

Phase 2

This phase is scheduled to run from Oct. 2 to Nov. 30, 2023, during which lead agencies should:

  • · Continue to assign staff members to practice in the MnCHOICES Training Zone.
  • · Have at least 30% of users work on health risk assessments, MnCHOICES assessments and support plans in the production environment. (More than 30% of users working in the production environment is encouraged.)
  • · Allow other lead agency staff members to continue using legacy systems.
  • · Complete county-of-location assessments in MnCHOICES 1.0 or the revised MnCHOICES application at the county’s discretion.
  • More information
